KH T-Bar Touring Handle
A highly adjustable touring handle for road unicycles. Length, angle and bar-ends are all independently configurable to best suit your body and riding style. Lightweight aluminium construction. A must for road riders!
When unicycle legend Kris Holm set out to design a touring handle his objectives were to make an adjustable handle that:
- Allows a moderate extended-forward riding stance,
- Stays out of the way of your knees, and
- Uses bar-ends which can be replaced if damaged in a crash.
The KH T-bar bolts on to the underside of the front handle and is stiff thanks to a low profile 5 mm stiffener plate that bolts under the forward part of the saddle. The bar is 300 mm long with 35 degrees of angle adjustment, from low out front to immediately in front of the saddle handle. Photo to the right shows the KH T-Bar set up in a high and close position. Your brake, if you run one, is installed between the bar-ends, allowing you to brake with both hands if desired. This is easy to get used to and substantially reduces fatigue on long descents. The brake is compatible with KH Spooners.
Kris Holm says "If you haven't yet tried a handle on your 36er, you should! It is incredible how much comfort it adds, and how much more stable a geared 36er feels with a touring handle.
The KH T-Bar Touring Handle fits only the KH 2009 saddles because it needs longer bolts to attach it. It is compatible with these saddles: KH Fusion Freeride 09, KH Fusion Street Gel 09 and Nimbus Gel 09.
Weight is 602 grams including the reinforcement plate, bar-ends, T-Bar and mounting brackets.
