Convert your KH Fusion or KH Fusion Freeride saddle to a super comfy airseat with this air pillow!
Fusion Freeride saddles are readily converted into an airseat with an air pillow and a 20" inner tube. Standard KH saddles can also be converted into air saddles, though you'll need a new Fusion Cover. Follow these instructions:
1. Remove front and rear bumpers.
2. Remove saddle cover and foam. The foam in Fusion saddles is not glued to the cover or seat base so it is easy to remove. (If you have a standard KH saddle you'll need to pull out all the staples and pull off the glued on foam.)
3. Drill a hole in the seat base for the inner tube's valve stem to fit through. The hole should be positioned at the back, just in front of the rear bumper and slightly off the seat's recessed centreline. Once assembled this will allow you to adjust the inner tube's pressure without having to disassemble the saddle.
4. Insert the 20" inner tube into the air pillow with the valve poking out one end of the pillow and inflate slightly (a few pumps only!). Fold the pillow in half across the short dimension - the shape of the air pillow should now roughly match the shape of the seat base. Push the valve stem through the hole you drilled.
5. Fit the cover over the air pillow, taking care to position the inner tube as desired, and replace the front and rear bumpers.
