Kris Holm Schlumpf Hub

Ever wanted gears on your unicycle? This ISIS hub from Schlumpf Innovations and Kris Holm Unicycles is the answer and the very latest in geared unicycle technology. * New improved model! *

Lovingly crafted in the Swiss Alps, this new ISIS hub has been torture-tested by muni legend Kris Holm himself. Now geared offroad unicycles are a reality!

The latest generation of geared Schlumpf unicycle hubs is a massive improvement on previous models. Gone is the pesky torque arm, and even better the axle is now ISIS with a beefier bearing setup. This means that Schlumpf hubs are strong enough to be ridden offroad! Schlumpf Innovations teamed up with Kris Holm Unicycles for this project and designed the new hub around Kris Holm unicycle frames. New larger internal bearings improve performance.

  • Two ratios: 1:1 and 1:1.55. 1:1 is the same as a standard unicycle - the wheel turns one revolution with every revolution of the pedals. In high gear (1:1.55 ratio) the wheel turns 1.55 times with every turn of the pedals. This means a 24" wheel in high gear is effectively a 37.2" wheel; a 26" in high gear is effectively a 40.3" wheel; a 29" in high gear is effectively a 45" wheel and a 36" in high gear is effectively a 55.8" wheel!
  • Shift gears while your ride, all it takes is a flick of the heel as you pedal
  • Laser engraved with Unicycle.co.nz logo
  • Offroad-ready strong ISIS axle
  • High stiffness thanks to two pairs of industrial ball bearings
  • Hardened steel shift buttons to withstand even rough treatment
  • Extra wide design with 70mm distance between flanges
  • For vertical jumps up to 1.5m
  • Specifically designed to fit all sizes of Kris Holm frame from model year 2007 or younger
  • Latest model features new improved high performance bearing protectors and reinforced spoke holes.
