Samuel Tzikoucos

Samuel Tzikoucos

Hey my name is Samuel, I am 12 years old.

I started riding in 2009. A year later when I met the unicycle street world champion, Chris Huriwai. He really encouraged me to develop my skills in street unicycling. I have been riding and developing my skills in street unicycling ever since.

I ride a Koxx one green spirit street unicycle. I have competed in 5 competitions, mainly street in regionals, nationals, and random Uni comps in my home town.

I have attended the Uni Weekend NZ 2011 for the first time, this year it was held in Taupo. I came first in the street comp, and came second in flatland. I also made the same score at the regionals in my home town, Kaikohe in Northland. I am saving up to go the worlds in Italy 2012, and will be competing in the junior category in street and flat. My dream is to be the junior world champion in street.

I enjoy encouraging students at my school and others in my town to give unicycling a go. I really love riding my unicycle and learning new tricks and it’s awesome to see others develop their uni skills just like me.

Sam La Hood

Sam La Hood

Hey there! I'm Sam La Hood..
I first started riding at a Circus Kumarani Kai Iwi Lakes festival, when I had a little play on a unicycle. I found it was more difficult than it seemed and was determined to do it, and now I've been riding for almost 2 years.

I love to ride street and flatland, and am hoping to compete in them at UNICON 16.

Some things I've accomplished are:
In Northland Regionals:
3rd Street
3rd Flatland

In Nationals:
1st Flatland Junior
2nd Street Junior

One thing I hope to do with my unicycling is to push female street unicycling :)
